Private Home Rock Island, IL Investigation #2 June 28, 2008

THE REVEAL

A team consisting of Rick, Becky and Diana returned to Rock Island on June 28, 2008 to present evidence and do a follow up investigation. The eldest daughter recognized some of the EVPs as voices she had heard in the living room while sleeping and was relieved to have her reports validated. MVP also learned that the family had a member of the Jewish Center say a prayer in the house since our last investigation.

THE INVESTIGATION

The team began the investigation in the youngest daughter’s bedroom where we had previously recorded EVPs of a little girl. Rick brought a few little toys and set them in the bedroom and invited the girl to play with them. We left the camcorder and a voice recorder running and left the room.

Next we investigated the basement where Becky and Diana conducted EVP sessions.

We concluded the investigation in the upstairs bedroom where both Rick and Diana had feelings of heaviness. Because of the large number of people in the house and because of the need to join another team in Eldridge, we stopped the investigation and gathered our equipment. The team had no personal experiences while we were in the house, although we were able to recover the bead that Steph felt was thrown at her during the previous investigation.

CONCLUSION

We are not sure if having a person say a blessing made a difference or not. There were many guests present and we had a short time and limited space to conduct the investigation. Regardless, the team was unable to uncover any evidence of spirit activity on this visit. We will continue to keep in touch with the owners of the house, and if they experience any further phenomenon, we will do our best to help.

MVP received the following report from the eldest daughter the next day…

Last night after MVP left our house, I stayed at my friend’s house pretty much like every other Saturday. While I was there I experienced a lot of the same things that occur at my house, and I was wondering if it’s possible the ghosts could have came with me there??We were sitting and eating in the dining room and all the lights were out except for the room we were in. And at first we heard some rustling around in the back room and we tried to ignore it, but then some music started up like violin folk music, just like the day we heard the piano at my house it went from quiet to loud and died off. My friend doesn’t live on a busy street and no radios or televisions were on. Her mom heard it to and asked us if we had turned the radio on and we told her we had not. So I just wanted to know if you’ve heard about anything like that happening, because I know it was the same thing as my house it felt the same way it does here.

Because of this new report, MVP plans to meet with the daughter and try to remove any attached spirit or test for the presence of poltergeist activity. The family also plans to have their pastor bless the house this week.

Rick received this from the mother…

Hi Rick,

We had our pastor come last night and some of his friends.

When we came back from seeing fireworks the house felt different, use to feel unhappy or dark,heavy when we would come home last night it felt good everyone slept well and felt that what ever was here may be gone now.

Lauren slept on the couch and has not heard anything so far.

I think it may be gone now.

I don’t think we will need you all to come on Saturday now, Thank you though for all your help with this, and offering to come to help.Because of this, MVP now considers this case closed, but will still help the family should the need arise.
